As Wicklow Town AFC heads towards its 90th anniversary, we are excited to announce an ambitious 5-year development plan that will ensure the club continues to thrive and serve the community for generations to come. At the heart of this plan is the redevelopment of Finlay Park, bringing our facilities up to a modern standard that matches the dedication and passion of our players, coaches, and supporters.

Our Vision for the Future

At Wicklow Town Football Club, our vision is to create an inclusive and thriving football community for all ages and abilities. From our underage nursery program to senior men’s teams, we are dedicated to fostering a love of the game and providing opportunities for everyone to participate. We are equally committed to growing our girls’ teams, ensuring a place for every player to develop and succeed. With a focus on building best-in-class facilities, we aim to provide a welcoming environment that supports the development and enjoyment of football for all in Wicklow.

The Finlay Park Development Project includes:

New All-Weather Astro-Turf Pitch: A top-of-the-line surface that will enable year-round training and matches, regardless of weather conditions.
Upgraded Facilities: Enhancements to our clubhouse, dressing rooms, and spectator areas to provide a better experience for everyone.
New Floodlights: Ensuring training and evening games can take place in a safe, well-lit environment.
Modern Dugouts: Providing upgraded, comfortable spaces for our players and coaches.

This plan is not just about improving the physical infrastructure of the club; it’s about investing in the future of our community. We want Wicklow Town AFC to continue being a place where children and young adults can develop, both as athletes and individuals.

Fundraising Goal

To achieve our goal of raising €500,000 over the next 5 years, we are calling on the community to come together in support of this exciting initiative. Funds will be raised through a combination of grants, sponsorships, and community fundraising events, and we need your help!
